It may seem like you are going through ‘fire’ but be encouraged, you are not burning, you are ‘goldening’. Is that a word? I just made it up. Goldening because this (whatever it is), won’t get the best of you, God will use it instead, to bring out the best in you.
Just like gold, you are being refined not burned.
Check out these scriptures for some encouragement;
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” – James 1:2-4 MSG
“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us…” – Romans 5:3-5 AMPC
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.“ – Isaiah 43:2 AMPC
“So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 MSG
Keep trusting God and be encouraged.
