Spending time in prayers is great, refreshing and absolutely important in our walk with God.
Some of us have a prayer time, some, a prayer closet, which is great.
The beautiful thing is we don’t always have to wait for our prayer time or to get in our prayer closet before we can talk to God, we can do it on the go.
I like a part of Matthew Henry’s commentary on 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (here) that says, to pray without ceasing “is not that men should do nothing but pray, but that nothing else we do should hinder prayer…”
So, as you go about your day, here are some little prayers you can fill your day with, you know, whisper to God as you go, for yourself, someone or about something, as required.
- I love you Lord.
- Praise God.
- Have mercy on me Lord.
- Thank you Lord.
- God help me.
- Father take control.
- God bless (someone/something).
- Lord have mercy on …
- God, please guide/direct me.
- Have your way Lord.
- It is well…
These are just some of the many things we can say to God as we go.
Do you have one that’s not listed, you can share in the comments.
